If it weren’t for Kanna, Ichika wouldn’t be able to say what she truly feels
I really admire Kanna’s honesty because if she’s going to be selfish she could just watch Kaito and Ichika’s relationship crumble and at the end she could have Kaito but no, she made Ichika realize her feelings. Oh gosh I feel bad for her *sobs* o(╥﹏╥)o
What I really love about this show is how realistic it is. Gotta quote this line from the Madoka Magica fanfic I’m reading since it fits this scene: “Love have always been about winning and losing. If someone else loves you well, sucks for them” – Kyouko. Yes, a scenario where everybody wins can only be found in fiction and fairytale but in real life only few people will get get their “Happy Ending” while the losers had to try again with a different person. This show was able to point it out directly, GJ director-san GJ! I’m happy for Ichika and Kaito but heck I feel bad for the side characters. SIGH reality really sucks aint it? (ಠ_ಠ)
Now on to Ep 10 (I’ll save you from the over sweetness of Kaito and Ichika in this ep so no screenies of them besides, they’re not the highlight of this ep)…Everything have been fine and dandy that Remon-senpai had to give Kaito ‘protection’….
Another point on this show being realistic is the way the characters act in this series. Tetsuro and Mio somehow has an ulterior motive why they did what they did. Yes their brash and act like a teenager does and they would do whatever they can just to win even if they are stepping on someone’s feelings. On the outside they are acting very selfless but the truth is they have been lying to themselves, trying to justify their actions even though they know its wrong.
Another thing I love about this show is that its side characters isn’t afraid to tell the person they love how they feel unlike other run of the mill love-com where the characters have chosen to keep their feelings to themselves. Seriously that’s frustrating. Remember love won’t wait for you (but don’t be too pushy alright?).
Love have definitely made Mio stronger. We saw a very strong and direct side of her. God this scene is so touching since she did what Tetsuro did for Kanna last episode…she picked up the broken Tetsuro. Even though our side characters are suffering they are not suffering alone that’s good since I don’t want to watch them moping it out alone.
Yes! Finally Kanna was able to let it out too but it’s too late o(╥﹏╥)o. But still I admire the courage of both Kanna and Tetsuro since they know its futile to confess given how things are now but still, they confessed since they don’t want to have regrets at the end.
Seriously Kaito have proven himself that he’s not a wuss. He’s not afraid to reject his friend and tell her face on that he loves Ichika. Unlike other love-com protagonist his heart have been set from the start and he has the courage to make a move on Ichika like what he did back in Okinawa. Sure he seems bland at times but being direct with his feelings really made the difference.
Oh and next week Alien onee-chan is here! Will she let Ichika stay or will she take her back. Seriously I don’t know what to pick since I like Ichika and Kaito to be together but I don’t want Kanna, Mio and Tetsuro to get hurt. ARGGGH!! This is frustrating! ｏ( ><)o
Sure the plot of this show isn’t unique and that might have been the factor that chased some of its viewers away but seriously the character dynamics of this show will get you glued on the computer/tv screen. This is a beautifully written series and I’m thankful I was able to watch this series. Definitely one of the best love-com series I’ve seen in a while. No wonder there since the director of this series have won the 2012 Media Arts award. Congratulations! おめでとうございます!
If you’re a fan of love-com or romance anime, as early as now I suggest picking up this show.
