As promised, here's the Winter anime preview. Of course I'll watch most of the shows but if I got bored I'll drop it and I'll only blog episodes that are worth blogging and if I have time. In this winter preview I hope I can provide you the latest anime in Japan. I hope you could get to watch some shows this season...
Eve no Jikan Act 3
Release Date (in Japan): (Dec 1, 09)
In the not too distant future androids have come into common usage. Taking the androids for granted, humans treat them as if they were common everyday tools, while on the other hand, some people empathize with androids due to their human-like appearance (save for a digital ring floating above their heads). This has become a social problem and these people are frowned upon as a result. Rikuo, one who has taken androids for granted for his entire life, one day discovers that Sammy, his home android, has been acting strangely and finds a strange phrase recorded in her activity log. He, along with his friend Masaki, traces Sammy's footsteps and come upon an unusual cafe. This cafe's main rule is to not discriminate between humans and androids. (ANN)
The third part of the ONA (Original Net Animation) series Eve no Jikan produced by Studio Rikka and DIRECTIONS, INC..The series consists of six 15-minute episodes, released every two months starting August 2008. I haven’t watched or even tried watching this series yet even though it was released last August 2008. The show didn’t reach me until I looked at the line up of the winter shows and probably that’s because it was aired in crunchyroll as soon as the episode was released (I’m a person who doesn’t like watching online mainly because the quality sucks so I usually resort in downloading fansubs ). From the synopsis, I find the story interesting. It kinda reminds me of chobits which tackles the topic of relationship of robots and humans. As what I’ve watched from the promo video, the animation was superb and because of that there’s a large probability that I’ll watch this. It seems that it has been getting a lot of good response from the viewers from crunchyroll so I might end up start watching this one. I just hope that I can download a fansub version but if there’s none, I’ll just watch it in crunchyroll. (-_-)…
Shikabane hime Kuro
Release Date (in Japan): (January 1, 2009)
The sequel to Shikabane Hime Aka which was produced by FEEL and Gainax who brought us Gurren Lagann.
I don’t know if I’ll follow this series mainly because I don’t quite enjoy the first season. I haven’t finished the first season yet but if I find it good when I finished it then, I’ll watch this but if not, I’ll just drop the show. What annoys me about the first season was it was already licensed already and fansubs groups are dropping the show. I thought its ok but as I was trying to access the videos of funimation in youtube, I can’t watch them because I’m outside US. Good thing a fansub group is continuously subbing the series or else I won’t be able to watch it.

Akikan (”Empty Can”) is the unlikely story of high school boy Kakeru Daichi, whose can of melon juice soda magically transforms into a human girl. Naturally, more “akikan” girls begin appearing, each of them needing to be infused with carbon dioxide from kissing to survive. (AniDB)
Ok, just by reading the sypnosis above one could conclude that this series is an echhi one. I’ve watched the preview and it wasn’t able to impress me what caught my attention was the synopsis. I think I’ll try this one since Ga-rei Zero is already finished.
White Album
Release Date (in Japan): (Jan 3, 2009)
Ok I’m intrigue. All I know about this series is it came from a visual novel made by Leaf. I’ve searched some sites and I can’t find information about the story. Aya Hirano will be voicing the girlfriend ( I don’t know whose) and together with another famous seiyuu, Nana Muzuki is also in this show and she will be singing the OP of the series.
Maria-sama ga miteru 4th season

Maria + Holic
Release Date(in Japan) : (Jan 4, 2009)
The story centers on a sophomore named Kanako who enrolls in all-girls school because she has a phobia of men and wants to find her destined yuri partner. She meets a captivating freshman named Mariya who fits her criteria — except her seemingly ideal mate happens to be a cross-dressing sadistic boy. (ANN)
Ok this seems interesting and it looks like another yuri/shojo ai series. I think I’ll try this one also since the synopsis intrigues and interests me.
Minami-ke Okaeri
Release Date (in Japan): Jan 4, 2009
This is the third season of the anime adaptation of Coharu Sakuraba's Minami-ke manga series. I haven’t finished the first season yet but this seems like a funny series. I’m not sure if I could watch this because I haven’t even finish the season 1 but maybe if I could finish it then, I’ll marathon this after it finished airing.
Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou
Release Date(in Japan) : Jan 5, 2009
The story revolves around Natsume, a boy who has been able to see ghosts since he was little. Unfortunately, humans shun him, and there is not much fondness between him and ghosts either. One day, he inherits a Yūjin-Chō ("Book of Friends") from his grandmother. The book is actually full of contracts that his grandmother made to trap ghosts. As one ghost after another shows up, Natsume tries to release or help them — even while many of them seek vengeance on him. (ANN)
For me, I don’t find the story synopsis that interesting but I’ll try a couple of episode then I’ll decide if it’s worth watching but if not, then I’ll drop it.

Sora wo Kakeru Shojo
Release Date (in Japan): Jan 5, 2009
The veteran anime studio Sunrise has opened a teaser site for a new project called Sora o Kakeru Shōjo [Sora Kake Girl or "The Girl Who Leapt Through Space (the Heavens)"]. The site provides no other information besides a promise that more details will be given in October 10. On that day, the official homepage will open, and there will be coverage in Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype, Tokuma Shoten's Animage, and Gakken Kenkyūsha's Animedia magazines. The project's title is an apparent wordplay on Toki o Kakeru Shōjo or The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Yasutaka Tsutsui's classic novel that was adapted into several live-action television series, live-action films, manga, and an acclaimed anime film. (ANN)
I will surely watch this and the reason? The staff that brought us Mai-Hime and other Sunrise originals will be the one making this. This is one of Sunrise’s anime original work and most of their work are awesome so for me, this is a must see. I’ve watched the trailer and it seems interesting so can’t wait to watch and know what the story is about. The girls are also hot so yeah there's no reason not to watch this.
Viper’s Creed

The story revolves around the members of a private military company (PMC), and the uneasy tension between them and the regular military after a war that caused massive environmental destruction.(Animekon)

Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger
Release Date (in Japan): Jan 6
This is the second season of Hajime no Ippo. I’m not into sports themed anime but I’m not also against it. I think I won’t be able to watch this one mainly because I haven’t finished the first season. I think fans of this series will rejoice for the 2nd season has come at last.

He had a chance meeting on one night with a high Mototsumitama named Kuro while eating alone at a ramen stand. He gives her his dinner, a bowl of ramen, and tries to protect her when she is attacked in an ambush by an unknown Mototsumitama. Keita loses his entire left arm during the fight between the Mototsumitamas, but Kuro was able to save his life by exchanging the decapitated arm with her own left arm since she has enhanced healing abilities like all Mototsumitamas. This creates a contract between them, which makes her more powerful than before. However, Kuro warns Keita that they need to be together all the time in order to be at their strongest.
As Kuro stays with Keita and gets acquainted with him while meeting with other Mototsumitamas and their human masters, they are targeted by the strongest Mototsumitama clan of the East, the Shishigami (Lion God) Clan in an attempt to kidnap Akane and bring about the destruction of the coexistence balance, which Mototsumitamas are supposed to protect. Meanwhile, Keita is determined to find out why his mother had died after seeing her double as a young boy and find out who is responsible for trying to destroying the coexistence balance on Earth. From the synopsis of the story, it looks like a mediocre action anime but I’ll still try watching this 'cause I don't like judging shows before watching it.

I wonder if they made this so that they could have more time in making a new Haruhi series....well what ever as long as they'll make another Haruhi series its fine.
