Kimi ni Todoke - 01

OP: Kimi ni Todoke (きみにとどけ) by Tanizawa Tomofumi

ED: Kataomoi (片想い) by Chara
Impression:
If you have read my fall review then you know that I've read the manga of Kimi ni Todoke. It was loyal to the manga and it still good. I think Noto Mamiko is a suitable seiyuu for Sawako. Production I.G.'s animation is really good the watercolor hues is so comfortable with the eyes but I don't quite like it when Sawako transforms into her chibi version and I can't blame them since that's present in the manga also. I think they do that so that people won't first notice that Sawako is one hot chick.

I really like Kimi ni Todoke mainly because I can symphatize with Sawako. She is easily misunderstand by the people around her. It shows that if you should have the guts to open up to people you'll also be able to clear up those understandings. Another aspect why I like this series is because of I like love stories specially to the ones I can relate with.

I love the OP song more than the ED mainly because it's catchy. The ED on the other hand didn't grow on me. Btw, the OP and ED sequence is also accompanied by very gorgeous art works.

I hope I get to see more non-SD Sawako in future episodes. And just like what Thingle said, why does people get scared with Sawako when she's really that pretty. Well maybe because the concept of beauty is relative, wth I've applied my lessons from my humanities subject?? lolz...

until then...

Kobato. - 01

Impression:
The best description for this episode would be the word cute. Kobato is so cute specially when she tried to cook, that was hilarious. She's so cute when she sang in the episode and whatever she does.....she really looks CUTE! She's so cute and at the same time childish that I wonder how old is she. So yeah, we are presented with some bits on what the story is about but we don't really know who the hell is Kobato, where did she come from and why does she have that wish. I would certainly like to find out all of that so yeah I'll watch this one.

The character design and story was made by CLAMP so I really expect the character design to be gorgeous. Thank goodness MADHOUSE have not screwed up in animating this.

The OP and ED songs are appropriate with the series but I liked the ED song better which was sung by Megumi Nakajima. The OP on the other hand was also good but it's too jolly for my taste.

Poof!! I'm back...again lolz...

I apologize for the very looooooong absence. At first it was because I'm quite busy with school work and then here comes the finals so yeah busy 2x. Then again I got addicted playing games in facebook and also I've devoted my time in finishing 'Final Fantasy Dissidia' and it was worth it good game btw. Oh I forgot to mention that I'm not always at home during my sem break mainly because getting our school cards are such a hassle because of some professors sigh...Imagine waiting for that classcard in about what? 12 hours? Another reason is I've enjoyed reading books specially the new ones like 'Hush, Hush" by Becca Fitzpatrick. So as you can see I have so many distractions so my interest in anime declined.

Anyway I'm back and blogging resumes after All Souls Day since our family has to go and visit our departed love ones.

My line up this season would be:
1.Toaru Kagaku no Railgun
2. Kimi no Tosoke
3. Kobato.

Oh gosh, I have to get caught up with a lot of things so I'll try my best!

Btw, I'm not gonna continue blogging Kampfer, I don't know why I enjoyed the frist episode. I don't like it anymore. Its mediocre and the story is so confusing.

that's all!

until then...

Kampfer - 01

OP: "Unreal Paradise (あんりある パラダイス)" by Minami Kuribayashi

Kampfer - 01
Impression:
Holy crap that was so cool and at the same time interesting. It's action packed and I'm quite addicted I want to watch the next episode. OMG, the girls here are so hot specially the female Natsuru and the gun totting Mishima Akane. I think it was enjoyable even though some of the jokes aren't that funny. Though I get the joke with the seiyuu. The premise of the story sure is interesting and I'm wondering why does the Kampfers fight each other and how they are selected. Why does most of the Kampfers are girls and if they are not a girl they transform into one? I also would like to know an explanation why the girl Kampfer transforms into someone who has a somewhat opposite personality. I just can't wait to watch the next episode!

The OP and ED songs are fine it's neither good nor bad. The OP animation feautes thes girl cast with Natsuru of course. The ED animation sure has a LOT of fanservice and it's fine since those girls are just hot.
Oh btw, my Yuri alarm went off during the OP sequence and the time when Sakura told Natsuru that she like the girl that save her earlier, which is of course the female Natsuru. Crap I think I'll love this show with the yuri, action, hot girls and the interesting cast of seiyuus (the likes of Yui Horie, Marina Inoue and Megumi Nakajima). I think I'll love to blog this one though that depends if other shows would be good I have to decide first because I'm quite busy.

Ponytails really turn me on hahahaha!!! WHAT THE HECK?!
ED: "One Way Ryouomoi (ワンウェイ両想い)" by Marina Inoue and Megumi Nakajima

until then...

Eden of the East - Final Impression

Final Impression:
Wow I’ve finally able to finish watching Eden of the East! Thanks to the storm that has stricken our country, it’s quite cold so I became lazy and decided to watch anime instead of studying physics and chemistry.

Eden of the East is a good series but it ended with a cliff hanger. The last couple of episodes kept me hooked with the plot and the answers to the mysteries that surround Takizawa, the Selecao and some of the identity and motive of its members. Looking back last spring I was so amazed with the first episode mainly because of the mystery, suspense, questions that the series presents and the fact that Takizawa is naked at the beginning. Yes, the plot is engaging and interesting because of this so called game that Mr.Outside made but at the middle of the series I lost interest because I’m confused since there are a lot of questions unanswered. I marathon it at around episode 8 and surprisingly it’s good. The end of the series is quite cool especially with the shooting that Takizawa did. There were also little details that I’ve noticed I don’t even know if it’ll play its part on the movie. It seems that Takizawa made an off screen request to Juiz that explains the beeping of his phone and why did he put his phone inside Saki’s pocket? Did he spend all of his money already? Is he the King of Japan now? What the heck so many questions that really need answers. I certainly can’t wait to watch the movie.

The only characters that left impression on me are Saki and Takizawa and their characters are I think well developed but as for their relationship I think it’s still raw. I though Isuzu was dead but no he’s not and I don’t know why the writers did kept him alive. I don’t really care about him. See, the problem of this series is the character development. They are not that fleshed out so I don’t really care whether they live or die. Of course I care about Saki and Takizawa’s character but that’s because theya re the lead characters and the story is focused on them.

One of Eden’s good points is the animation and character design. As you all know Chika Umino is in charge of the character design and she’s famous for her work in Honey & Clover. So you see a similarity in design of Takizawa Akira and Morita Shinobu which also has similar personality. The background is so detailed and the movement of the characters are also very fluid. The 3D used blends well with the 2D parts. The OP animation is really interesting and creatively done and explains some part of the series if you’ll carefully pay attention to it. The ending on the other hand uses paper-mation which is also creatively done. And the ED animation is like what happened in the last episode of the series.

The music in the OP and ED are really catching. I always found myself humming them while I’m walking. Together with the OP and ED animation it’s amazing alright. The bgm on the other hand, hmmmm…it’s barely noticeable because I can’t remember hearing it.

Overall, this is a really good mystery/conspiracy series that is set in modern times. Though there are some parts that are dragging and there are a lot of questions unanswered its forgivable because there’s still a sequel. Oh crap can’t wait to watch it.

Overall Rating: 8/10 (Very Good)

Fall 2009 Anime Preview

Last season’s shows we’re quite good actually but at first glance I was disappointed. Lessons learned don’t judge a show by its PV or plot summary. My favourite would be Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Bakemonogatari, Aoi Hana and even Canaan. Now here’s the fall line up and honestly it seems that it lacks some kick unlike previous fall season that includes interesting titles but I won’t judge shows easily so I’ll try a couple of episodes. Oh btw, I apologize for the late preview I’m quite busy this past couple of days but thanks to the storm that hit out country there is a one week vacation so I have enough time to write this post.

As usual I’ll list shows that have caught my attention and the pics that I’ll be posting are from the PV of that anime but if the one on the PV sucks then I’ll stick with the promotional poster. I’ll try to blog the first episodes of the series listed below but I can’t guarantee that I’ll blog them. The summary are courtesy of Danizen’s very helpful chart and AniDB.

Queen’s Blade - Gyokuza wo Tsugu Mono
Animation Production:
ARMS
Release Date (in Japan): Sept 24
Episodes: 12

Summary:
A competition to decide the next Queen. The strongest warrior will rule the country and expand it. The contestants need to be older than 12. They need not be human, intelligent or even of that country. The rules for the tournament: murder is allowed. Any weapon can be chosen.

Impression:
Oh ugh, this series is the continuation of a fighting series with a huge amount of fan service close to a hentai. I can’t take the fan service of the first season so no I’m not interested in watching this one but I have to admit that I’m impressed that this is being aired in AT-X again and uncensored.

Watch: Absolutely Not

Blog: Nope

Asura Cryin’ 2
Animation Production:
Seven Arcs
Release Date (in Japan): Oct 1
Episodes: 13

Summary:
Tomoharu is a normal high school student… except for he’s not alone. Haunted by the ghost of his dead childhood best friend, he moves into a new home in time for the new school year. That becomes a little more difficult than anticipated when his house becomes overrun with various female occult users. Even worse than that he has been pulled into a fight to protect a trunk within the house that others want to steal.

Impression:
Honestly, I haven’t finished the first season of this yet mainly because I have lost interest in the story so I doubt that I’ll be blogging this. Though I still plan to finish watching the first season but I don’t think I’ll be able to finish it anytime soon so I won’t blog this.

Watch: When I finish season 1

Blog: Nope

Kämpfer
Animation Production:
NOMAD
Release Date (in Japan): Oct 1
Episodes: ?

Summary:
Senou Natsuru is your normal, everyday high school student. He´s been chosen to be a Kämpfer (German for "fighters"), whose objective consists of fighting other Kämpfer with either guns, swords or magic. However, there´s a couple of catches; you can´t chose if you´re a Kämpfer or not, and you must have the body of a girl in order to use your powers.

Impression:
So the lead character seems a tramp since he transforms into a girl…I found this series interesting thought it seems that the plot is not the strongest part of the series but the main draw for me is the seiyuu cast. There’s Yui Horie, Megumi Nakajima, Nana Mizuki and Inoue Marina. Maybe if I want to watch a shallow show I’ll watch this. I also find the girls in the promotional poster and even the PV hot so yes another reason to watch this show.

Watch: Yes

Blog: No, I’ll just have a final impression

Nyan Koi!
Animation Production:
AIC
Release Date (in Japan): Oct 1
Episodes: ?

Summary:
Kousaka Junpei is a second-year high school student who despises cats and has an allergy to them. It just so happens that his high school crush is Mizuno Kaede, a girl who adores cats. He finds he can now understand what cats are saying, including his family's own ill-tempered cat, Nyamusasu. However, if he does not grant 100 wishes from cats, he will turn into a cat himself.

Impression:
This looks like a decent high school love comedy series so yes I’m in since I’m such a sucker of a love-com series. Add the factor that it has cats so I think I’ll really watch this but as for blogging I’m not sure yet.

Watch: Absolutely

Blog: Maybe

Tatakau Shisho (Armed Librians) - The Book of Bantorra
Animation Production:
David Production

Summary:
In a world where dead people turn into books and are stored in the Bantorra Library where anyone who reads a book can learn their past. Bantorra Library is maintained by Armed Librarians who wield psychic powers and their enemy is a religious society known as Sindeki Kyoudan.

Impression:
Wow the animation in the preview looks good and the atmosphere sure is intriguing. Actually I’m not quite familiar with the animation company who animates this but the PV sure boasts a really solid animation. I think I’ll watch this but as for blogging it I’m not sure yet. Btw ALI PROJECT is the one doing the OP and all I could say is what the heck? I really hate their songs.

Watch: Sure why not?

Blog: Maybe…depends on the first couple of episodes

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun (A Certain Scientific Railgun)

Release Date (in Japan): Oct 2
Episodes: ?

Summary:
Based on To Aru Majutsu no Index, the side story follows Mikoto Misaka, a level 5 psychic of “Judgement” that preserves law and order in the Academy City.

Impression:
I haven’t finish To Aru Majutsu no Index mainly because I lost interest and just got tired of it’s pacing and confusing terms. I like Mikoto better than Index because her character is more interesting than Index’s and maybe because she’s a tsundere. I think I’ll watch and blog this one since I like Mikoto and it’s her side story. I really hope it doesn’t disappoint and I also hope it’s a lot better than To Aru Majutsu no Index

Watch: Yes

Blog: Most likely

White Album Final

Episodes: 13

Summary:
Toya Fuji, a college student, is dating a rising idol singer named Yuki Morikawa. There are numerous challenges to the couple’s relationship from the other people at Fuji’s college, Morikawa’s work and elsewhere.

Impression:
I dropped this series and I’m not gonna pick that up again. I don’t like the pacing of the story and I don’t care about the character’s relationship and whatsoever so it’s no use picking it up again. Obviously since I don’t like the first season of White Album I won’t be watching nor blog the second one.

Watch: Nope

Blog: NO, NO

Seitokai no Ichizon (Student Council’s Judgement)
Animation Production:
Studio DEEN

Summary:
Ken Sugisaki attends a private high school and is chosen by popular vote to be the only male in the otherwise all female student council, who may enter the council’s meeting room, where the council president records the minute of the meetings – daily conversations about the students.

Impression:
It looks mediocre even the PV and the summary. Maybe I’ll try the first episode.

Watch: Maybe

Blog: No

The Sacred Blacksmith
Animation Production: Manglobe
Release Date (in Japan): Oct 3
Episodes: 12

Summary:
The story takes place after an abominable war that foisted a "devil's contract" upon a land. Cecily Campbell, a former noble's daughter who joined a knighthood, encounters a man who dispatches some hoodlums with one sweep of a mysterious sword. The man possesses the power of the same "devil's contract" that has become taboo, now that peace has been restored. Cecily has been searching for a blacksmith who can repair an old sword she inherited from her father, and that mysterious young man happens to be blacksmith named Luke. This encounter launches their adventures together.

Impression:
The PV looks cool and the summary looks decent enough. If this is a combination of action, romance and comedy then I’m absolutely in. It seems that Cecily (the red head protagonist) will eventually fall for Luke. I don’t know yet but it seems that way because of the preview.

Watch: Yes

Blog: Maybe?

Letter Bee
Animation Production:
Studio Pierrot
Release Date (in Japan): Oct 3
Episodes: 13

Summary:

Five years later, Lag Seeing finally realizes his dream, that of a Letter Bee. However, the one who inspired him has gone missing and only there does the mystery start.

Impression:
The summary seems silly and it seems like a shounen and slice-of-life show. I’m not quite fond of shounen show but let’s see maybe it’ll be interesting. HIMEKA will be the one doing the ED song and I like her song specially the first OP of Valkyria Chronicles so more reason to try watching at least the first episode.

Watch: Maybe?

Blog: Probably not…

InuYasha - The Final Act-

Impression:
I haven’t watched this series in like for years but I really like it and I tuned in the t.v. everyday just to watch this. I can’t remember what happened in the previous season but oh well maybe it’ll come back when watch this one.

Watch: Absolutely!!

Impression:
A kiddie show with a twist of romance. Hmmmmm….I don’t know what to expect but the summary it seems like it’s mediocre. Maybe I’ll try it but I’ll drop it after the first episode if it sucks.

Watch: Maybe?

Blog: Nope

Impression:
The PV looks promising though it seems ecchi but I think I could tolerate that. The summary is quite interesting too and if the first episode is good I’ll continue watching this one or even blog it.

Watch: Probably Yes…

Blog: 75% Maybe

The plot thickens when he finds a sixty-year-old picture of Arashi and another girl named Kaja, and to the surprise of all Kaja suddenly appears, and just like Arashi, her appearance hasn't changed at all since then.

Impression:
Honestly, I like the first season of this. I like the characters, the time paradox etc. though the last episode was quite disappointing but good thing there’s a sequel.

Yumeta Company

Impression:
Ugh can’t find any PV and good summary. What’s this? It seems like Hetalia and they used handsome men depicting as trains just like in Hetalia but the only difference is in Hetalia it was used as country. Didn’t watch Hetalia so I doubt I’ll watch this but honestly, the characters sure are handsome.

However, in the school's library, Yūto stumbles across her and her darkest secret — she is a diehard fan of anime, manga, and otaku culture.

Impression:
I really find the first season interesting and a decent love-com series but I don’t have the time to watch it yet. Sigh, I want to watch it already but so many things to do and watch with so little time….I hope I could control time. I probably won’t be able to watch this since it’s a sequel so no blogging also.

Impression:
The first thing I noticed in this series is that it was made by CLAMP and the title (is the dot really included??). Holy crap, as expected of CLAMP’s art it sure is gorgeous and the animation in the preview looks good too. I haven’t read the manga version of this yet and it’s fine since I don’t want to be spoiled with the story. Everything is interesting so sure I’ll watch this one. I think the series seems a promising slice-of-life and love-com so yeah I’m quite excited about it.

Watch: Absolutely!!!

Impression:
This is one of the series which I’m excited to watch this fall. I love the manga mainly because I can relate to Sawako. I really2x love this series since the message it wish to deliver is that misunderstandings arise because most people are not honest enough to express their feelings (well that’s true..). Oh, I just can’t wait to watch this series. I hope Production I.G. would be successful in adapting this very addicting manga.

Watch: Yes oh yes!!

Impression:

Impression:
Holy crap, Yuri anime sure is plentiful this year. I really enjoyed Aoi Hana and Saki for its Yuri overload so yeah expect me to watch this one. Yuri banzai!! Aoi Bungaku Series
Animation Production: Madhouse
Release Date (in Japan): Oct 10
Episodes: 12

Summary:
The series will consist of adaptations of six modern classics of Japanese literature: Osamu Dazai’s No Longer Human (Ningen Shikkaku) & Run, Melos! (Hashire, Melos!), Natsume Soseki’s Kokoro, Ryunosuke Akutagawa’s Hell Screen (Jigoku Hen) & The Spider's Thread (Kumo no Ito), and Ango Sakaguchi's In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom (Sakura no Mori no Mankai no Shita).

No Longer Human (Ningen Shikkaku) - A high school student becomes lost and alienated. Despondent and aimless, he falls into a cycle of self abuse, depression and drugs that taints his life for years. Told in three chapters, each chapter deals with a different point in his life and the final chapter leaves him standing alone - an empty and hollow charicature of his former self.

Run, Melos! (Hashire, Melos!) - An updated retelling of a classic Greek tale of the story of Damon and Pythias. The most prominent theme of "Run, Melos!" is unwavering friendship. Despite facing hardships, the protagonist Melos does his best to save his friend's life, and in the end his efforts are rewarded.

Hell Screen (Jigoku Hen) - A famous artist is commissioned by a great lord to create a series of paintings depicting scenes of the 'Buddhist Hell'. The artist is unable to paint scenes that he has not seen himself, prompting him to torture and torment the Lord's staff to create his imagined images of hell. His creative efforts taint the household, as the story descends into madness and destruction.Kokoro - A 1914 tale of a young man's life journey during the Meiji era. The work deals with the transition from the Japanese Meiji society to the modern era, by exploring the friendship between a young man and an older man he calls "Sensei". It continues the theme of isolation developed in Soseki's previous works, here in the context of interwoven strands of egoism and guilt, as opposed to shame

The Spider's Thread (Kumo no Ito) - The Buddha Shakyamuni chances to notice a cold-hearted criminal suffering in Hell. But this criminal did perform one single act of kindness in not stepping on a spider in a forest. Moved by this selfless act, Shakyamuni takes the silvery thread of a spider in Paradise and lowers it down into Hell, but it falls upon the criminal to seize the opportunity and pull himself out - if he can.

Impression:
I’m not quite interested in classic Japanese literature so nope I won’t probably watch this even though it was advertised that Obata Takeshi, Tite Kubo, and Konomi Takeshi would be doing the character designs.

FAIRY TAIL

Lucy is eventually welcomed into the Fairy Tail guild as she, Natsu, and other members go on various quests together.

Impression:
I’ve read the manga though I wasn’t able to continue it because it’s just so long. I like the story and the action but it seems that this series will be long like Naruto long so I probably won’t blog this one though I think I’ll watch it. The animation would seem good in the hands of A-1 Pictures and Satelight so I think the animation quality won’t drop drastically unlike Bleach and Naruto…

I haven’t watch Kiddy Grade and I’m not interested in watching the first season so nope I probably won’t watch this one but because of the PV(the PV has some good action) I’m quite intrigued in watching an episode or two of the sequel even though I don’t have prior knowledge about the series.

Watch: Yes oh yes!!

Blog: Maybe?

Wow there are a lot of shows this fall season. At first glance they look like trash but if you read the summary or watched the PV you’ll be encouraged to watch a series. I’ll most likely watch the book of Bantora, Railgun, Sacred Blakcksmith, Inuyasha, Natsu no Arashi2, Kobato, Kimi ni Todoke, Sasameki Koto, Fairy Tail and Winter Sonata. Whew those sure are a lot of interesting shows this season. I most probably marathon most of them but to those that are really2x interesting I’ll try blogging them alright?

So what are your picks this fall??

Until then…

Suzumiya Haruhi S2 - 13 & 14[FINAL] (is that it?)

Suzumiya Haruhi S2 - 13

Suzumiya Haruhi S2 - 14

Impression:
Episode - 13
Well, it was really entertaining to watch Mikuru endure the the abusing attitude of Haruhi but enough is enough. I'm really irritated with her attitude and I would really love if Kyon would have really hit her. It's interesting to see how will this affect their world, if Kyon would hit Haruhi, would the world end or would she 'delete' the SOS brigade?

Enough with irritating stuff, Yuki was so interesting in this episode. She tackled Mikuru and then my Yuri alarm went crazy because of the scene where Yuki was over Asahina, damn it Kyon you should have recorded that. Like what Taniguchi said, Kyon and Haruhi had a lover's quarrel and when they were about to kiss and make up, we saw a scene that Haruhi was holding her hair up and gave Kyon a cold shoulder. Then Kyon said, "Hey Haruhi, let's make this movie a success!) then she regained her spirits. I have to again agree with Kyon, Haruhi is really simple minded but it was really cute.

Wow, this is the best episode of season two.

Episode 14

It was interesting to see how they've got Shamisen and the scene when Shamisen was talking and trying to stay on Yuki's shoulder is really cute. LOL, you really can't get tired of watching Yuki, she dodge those pressurized water and bit Mikuru, again. It was also interesting that this episode pointed out that Kyon should not trust any of the factions. Honestly when I've read that in the novel, I've began to distrust Mikuru and Koizumi even though Koizumi really looks suspicious even in the first season. I really think that it was clever for Kyon to suggest the disclaimer at the end of the movie.

Btw, this is my 2nd favorite episode since episode 13 is much better.
Oh well, so that's it for the 2nd season and it really seems that that the announced Disappearance arc had really disappeared. I've learned my lesson, I won't trust any announcement from Kadokawa and I don't know if I would be excited if ever there would be a 3rd season. I'm contented with reading the novel.

I hope KyoAni's next project would be the 4th season of Full Metal Panic.

Final Impression: The last two episodes of this season two was the one that was able to salvage this series. Though I'm not a fan of The Sighs arc when I've read the novel, I was able to enjoy it mainly because of Yuki (well, you can't get tired of watching Yuki tackle Mikuru) and the way that the writers cleverly written the last two episodes.

I don't really think that I could consider this as a season 2 because it's more like a side story. Actually the sighs arc and the bamboo leaf rhapsody episode is tolerable but what pisses me is the Endless Eight arc. What the heck? They've wasted 8 episode for a side story that is only around 40 pages.

In this season, it is guaranteed that you'll hate Haruhi. She really has a bitchy attitude here and she doesn't care about what other people feel. Honestly, I like Haruhi during the first season because she is one extraordinary girl who doesn't like mediocrity. I really agree that the Sighs arc is not enjoyable than the other volumes in the novel but I think it'll pays off eventually since all of the novels are connected.

There's really a curse on sequels isn't it. I've just read Catching Fire(which is a sequel of Hunger Games) and all I could say is the first book was way better just like the second Lord of the Rings novel. All I'm trying to say is there is a necessary development so that the next installment would be much better than the first and the second. If you've read the novel you'll understand what I'm saying. Yuki won't act that way on the Disappearance if the Sighs and even endless eight didn't occur. I don't know, I think I'm quite impressed with KyoAni's actions becasue they had a guts to animate the Sighs arc even though the rage caused by Endless End would intensify more. I thought (and hoped) that they would immediately proceed to the Disappearance arc but...oh well maybe they are stupid.

Overall this is a very decent slice-of-life show with a twist of sci-fi. I doubt that this will be the last of this series but I expect more trolling from Kadokawa and Kyo-Ani. Good thing that the last two episodes was quite impressive or else I'll rate this 6/10.

So my rating would be.... 7/10 (Good)

until then...

So damn busy...

I apologize if I haven't posted my impressions on Haruhi Suzumiya S2 eps 13 and 14, also Canaan eps 8-11 yet. It's just that my schedules been so tight these past couple of weeks and I'm trying to cope up with my lessons or else I'll surely fail. I'll try posting those this week and I'll be reviewing Haruhi Suzumiya S2 since it's already finish. Oh, I haven't finished K-On! and Suzumiya Haruhi-chan right? I'll post a review of that too but I think that'll be after I made the FallLine Up review.

Wow, fall is already coming and I haven't been able to post the fall line up. Anyway, I'll try posting that next week even though my finals are already looming ahead. I've already researched what shows are coming next season and what are those shows about so yeah, I think I could do that next week.

until then...

Suzumiya Haruhi S2 - 11-12

Suzumiya Haruhi S2 - 11

Suzumiya Haruhi S2 - 12

Impression:
Episode 11
Nothing really really happened in this episode I just find it entertaining how Haruhi abuses Asahina. Oh and I also enjoy seeing Haruhi get pissed off when Mikuru offered Kyon a drink and I get to see Yuki in her witch costume again. To be honest sometimes I find Haruhi's bossy attitude irritating but I still like her since I think she's just a misunderstood teenager that needs attention.

Yipee!! next episode we'll get to see more Yuki!

Episode 12
I really like this episode more than the previous one since it's really amusing to watch Yuki. The Mikuru Beam part was really interesting since we get to see Yuki in action. I'm really hoping that the animation would be really grand when Mikuru would fire a different kind of beam again next episode. Btw, I cringed whenever I see Yuki's burns.

In this episode Kyon was able to stand against Haruhi and that's a good thing since Haruhi is already quite irritating. This arc, we'll get to see a more assertive Kyon and a more obnoxious Haruhi and I'm really interested to see more of it get animated..............*spoiler* (specially the part when Kyon was about to hit Haruhi with his fist).

Waaa!! I miss you Tsuruya-san good thing we get to see her again. I missed her animation shorts from You Tube. Smoked Cheese~~!!!

until then...

CANAAN - 06-07

CANAAN - 06

CANAAN - 07

Impression:
Episode 6
Holy crap Liang Qi sure is one amazing psycho. I liked her get some, get some scene in this episode and I've got to admit that Tanaka Rie is an amazing seiyuu. Also there were some flashbacks and a loli Liang Qi is really adorable. Also Liang Qi's Mii is really cute by the way. I admire her in those things but her character is quite irritating mainly because of her infatuation with Alphard and her hatred towards Canaan.

Even though Canaan spent the whole episode running, this episode is still exciting. Alphard 's plan is set in motion in this episode by infecting the world leaders with the Ua virus. Maria's been captured (again) and got beaten up by Liang Qi. And when I thought that Maria's character had grown I was disappointed in this episode because all she did was shout Canaan!! 2x or don't come I'll be fine!!. Baka, of course you're not fine.

Wow, Hakko spoke in this episode and the reason she doesn't speak is because she appears to have powers that control sound waves (?). I'm not sure about that since we are not given additional clues on what her power might be.

Episode 7
That was a very awesome episode. It has the right mix of political drama, action, deceit and suspense. I spent the entire episode at the edge of my seat and I kept looking at the remaining time for the episode because I don't want it to end with a cliff hanger 'cause I'll have to wait for another week to watch the next episode. I thought this episode would be spent on saving Maria and seeing Canaan in action but wow I never thought that they'll make it a race-against-time type of episode. At the beginning of the episode, Canaan did the matrix and dodge the bullets like Neo but what impressed me was when she was trying to manipulate the GPS system of the missile. Well, the episode ended in a cliff hanger but I was satisfied since they didn't decide to cut with the one where we don't know if the missile has hit the building or not. I want to watch the next episode because I don't know what will happen to Canaan, will she lose her power and had to battle Liang Qi or will she still get her powers back?

Waaaaa!! Next episode please!!

until then...

Suzumiya Haruhi S2 - 10

Impression:
If you already hate this show then I this episode won't be able to get your loyalty back. It was just a build up episode but there are still some noteworthy things in this episode. I enjoyed the athletic festival scene at the beginning mainly because of Yuki. I also like the facial expressions of the characters in this episode they are so adorable to look at (KyoAni's moé moé kyun is really powerful this week). I also noticed in one scene, I think I saw Mio in the train.

I'm really interested in watching the animated version of The Sighs but because of the disappointing effect of the endless eight arc, I don't know how to describe it....ummm...it seems like I beggining to get tired of this show.

I'm just wondering...there's this news that this anime would be airing 28 episodes and it airs chronologically right? If that's true then how could they finish the Sighs arc with only 8 episodes left and they also have to fit in some remaining episodes of the rerun? I think they would try to fit in The Sighs in 4 episodes and then the remaining rerun (I think there is only 4 remaining: Episode00 / The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina Episode 00, Live Alive, The Day of Sagittarius, Someday in the Rain) and then we won't be able to see the disappearance to be animated. Unless they plan to air season 3 this coming fall.

Sigh...

Hellsing Ultimate - 06

Impression:
This OVA is better than the boring OVA 5 so expect it to be action packed and more gore. I really enjoyed this OVA because of the action, gore, the kick ass Seras and Captain Bernadotte. What I like about Capt. Bernadotte's squad is they are not afraid to die even though the odds are agaisnt them. I thought this OVA would cover until Sera's transformation and Capt. Bernadotte's death. Sigh, so we'll wait for another year for the 7th OVA. I know this series has high production values and follows the awesome manga very closely but wtf Madhouse you release this series really slow. Compared to ufotable's Kara no Kyoukai (which is about to end), Hellsings Ultimate is only in its 6th OVA.

Btw, I forgot to mention that the ending sequence of this OVA is really entertaining so don't forget to watch it.

until then...

Suzumiya Haruhi S2 - 09 (AT LAST!!)

Impression:
Even though I know the ending of this arc, this episode has exceeded my expectations. The highest point of the episode was the music that they used at the end scene of the episode. I also enjoyed seing Haruhi getting worked up because of what Kyon said (I like her facial expressions there). The highlight of the episode is just about 5 min long since most of the scenes here are a rehash from the previous episodes.

I think KyoAni should have just aired the first episode and this episode for this arc, they have just wasted electricity and other valuable resources, what a waste. If you don't want your time to be wasted, I'll recommend that you choose one episode (ep1-8) and then watch this one.

At last, the endless eight arc has ended and we could now move on to some new materials. If I'm not mistaken, the next episode would be taken from the novel The Sighs of Haruhi Suzumiya and I hope the producers and animators are done with this kind of marketing stunts. With only 9 more episodes remaining, I wonder how would they be able to animate The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya unless they plan to have a cliff hanger and then we'll wait for another season which would be what? about 4 years again?? Yare, yare *face palm* ... -_-"

until then...

Hatsukoi Limited - Final Impression

"Are you in love right now?"
Final Impression:
J.C. Staff has once again been successful in producing a romance comedy anime but of course there were some flaws but still, its a good series. There were a lot of characters but not all of them have enough screen time specially Misaki and I'm not happy about that since she's my favorite character in the series. The ending have given closure to some of the character's stories but Misaki's story, it felt that it was cut short. I haven't read the manga but I'll try reading it since some people say that Misaki's story in the manga is more developed than in the anime. At first I like the story of Enomoto and Kusuda but I think they overdid it. There were times that I think they should just say what they really feel. Their story ate most of the episode of the series instead of giving some airtime with Misaki *sigh*. What I like about this series is they have pointed out that when you love someone it doesn't mean that he/she could love you back because he/she likes someone else. Sigh, it's like saying that only few people (like Enomoto and Kusuda) could have their happy endings but still, one should not give up (like Ayumi).

The animation was above average for a love-com anime and its fine since series like this should show off in their plot than in the animation. The character design was stunning, I just love the appearance of the characters. Misaki and Enomoto were hot and sexy, Ayumi, Koyoi and Chikura are cute. Dobashi on the other hand is cool. I wish I could draw characters like that. The music is the highest point of the series since it was one of the things that was able to evoke my emotions.

Overall it was a well produced romance comedy and I could recommend it to people who love series like this. I'll leave you guys a quote from the series...

"We're in love...Of course, it doesn't go smoothly. We might make mistakes. But we'll definitely treasure our first feelings of love. These feelings will one-by-one lead us towards our futures." -Ayumi

Overall Rating : 8/10
