Haiyoru Nyaruani Remember My Love
Haiyoru! Nyaru-ani: Remember My Mr. Lovecraft
Release Date: December 10, 2010
Animation Production: DLE Inc.
Episodes: 11

Summary: The story centers around Nyaruko, a formless Cthulhu deity who can take on the shape of a seemingly ordinary silver-haired girl. Mahiro Yasaka is a normal high school who is chased by aliens one night, until Nyaruko saves him.

Impressions:
Sid - I will probably watch this one all the way through. I figure it wont be great, but wont be bad. Another time killer possibly?
Chidori3souske - What a very vague summary and no trailer I don't really know how to judge this one. All I know about it is this show was originally a light novel and there are various animated flash shorts that were released, if you want to watch it click here but I'll remind you it doesn't have any subs. I'll try a couple of episodes but if it's boring or if it doesn't interest me then it's considred dropped.

Starry Sky
Starry☆Sky
Release Date: December 23, 2010
Animation Production: Studio DEEN
Episodes: ?

Summary: The heroine, Tsukiko, enrolled to a school that was recently changed from all-boys school to co-ed. Since the area where the school is conveniently rural and the rather exclusive curriculums the school has, up until now the heroine is the only one female who enrolled to the school.

Impressions:
Sid - Another video game based anime, eh? This one may be good, may not be. I can’t really tell from the description. The art looks solid. I expect this to have a good soundtrack, don’t ask me why. I’ll watch my standard three to four episodes.
Chidori3souske - The summary looks promising for someone like me who likes shoujo shows, I just can't resist the call of those handsome guys XD. I'll definitely check it out but I'm a bit weary since the director of this show is the one who directed Vampire Knight and I was disappointed in that show. I really hope this one would turn out right just like what DEEN did with Hakuouki.

Kimi ni Todoke 2nd Season
Kimi ni Todoke 2nd Season
Release Date: January 04, 2010
Animation Production: Production I.G
Episodes: ?

Summary: Kuronuma Sawako is completely misunderstood by her classmates. Her timid and sweet demeanor is often mistaken for malicious behavior. This is due to her resemblance to the ghost girl from "The Ring", which has led her peers to give her the nickname Sadako. Longing to make friends and live a normal life, she is naturally drawn to Kazehaya Shouta, the most popular guy in class, whose "100% refreshing" personality earns great admiration from Sawako.

Impressions:
Sid - Didn’t watch the first season, not going to watch this one.
Chidori3souske - This one is a guaranteed watch for me since I love the first season even though I haven't finished watching it yet (I'll make it my goal this Christmas break to finish season 1 before season 2 starts airing). I just recently found out that there's a live action movie of this, the actress who played Sawako was really pretty while the one who played Kazehaya was really cute it was release last September 25, I will also definitely watch it when it comes out in dvd. If you want to watch the trailer of the movie click here & here. (The 2nd trailer was quite funny and has a lot of "Kyaa" moments, you'll relate to me if you watched the anime or read the manga)

Rio Rainbow Gate
Rio – Rainbow Gate
Release Date: January 04, 2010
Animation Production: XEBEC
Episodes: ?
Trailer

Summary: Anime featuring Rio, a character from slot machines.

Impressions:
Sid - Lol wait, what? I’ll give it a couple episodes, but this is just going be an ecchi lovers dream. I am expecting to drop this.
Chidori3souske - What the heck?! The summary is just too vague, the trailer not really interesting, I didn't really like the character design so I'll probably pass specially with XEBEC on the helm.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
Mahou Shoujo Madoka ★ Magica
Release Date: January 06, 2010
Animation Production: SHAFT
Episodes: ?
Trailer 1, Trailer 2

Summary: Upcoming original anime by Studio SHAFT.

Impressions:
Sid - Despite the trailer telling me absolutely nothing and the website being a pink overload, I like SHAFT so I’m going to check this out.
Chidori3souske - Since I'm really interested with this anime original by SHAFT I'll definitely try a couple of episodes. I like it when I can't predict where the show is headed, I just hope Shinbou won't troll the show. I love the line up of the seiyuu's in this show with the likes of Yuuki Aoi (Juubei of Samurai Girls), Kato Emiri (Kagami of Lucky Star), Saito Chiwa (Senjougahara of Bakemonogatari) and Kitamura Eri (Ami of Toradora) I'm excited already.

Wolverine
Wolverine
Release Date: January 07, 2010
Animation Production: MADHOUSE
Episodes: 12
Trailer

Summary: Next in the four-part Marvel Anime project and broadcasts after the Iron Man anime. Wolverine is a mutant, possessing animal-keen senses, enhanced psychical capabilities, three retracting bone claws on each hand and a healing factor that allows him to recover from virtually any wound, disease or toxin at a accelerated rate.

Impressions:
Sid - Didn’t watch Ironman, not going to watch this. Sorry MADHOUSE I just don’t like Marvel based anime.
Chidori3souske - Not really intersted with east meets west show so pass just like what I did with Ironman.

Gosick
GOSICK
Release Date: January 07, 2010
Animation Production: Bones
Episodes: ?
Trailer

Summary: GOSICK takes place in 1924 in a small, made-up European country of Sauville. The story centers on Kazuya Kujo, the third son of a Japanese Imperial soldier, who is a transfer student to St. Marguerite Academy, where urban legends and horror stories are all the rage. There he meets Victorique, a mysterious yet beautiful and brilliant girl who never comes to class and spends her days reading the entire content of the library or solving mysteries that even detectives can't solve.

Impressions:
Sid - From what I told, this anime should have a great storyline. I’m not too sure from the trailer, but I’m guessing they didn’t want to spoil the good bits. Plus having a quiet, brilliant, rebellious girl is always fun too. I’ll give it a go, but it will probably be a bit slow pace for my tastes. I plan to keep this on watch the whole season, we’ll see.
Chidori3souske - I have a feeling that this show will be really interesting so I'll definitely watch it. I would love to watch a good mystery anime I haven't watched any after Occult Academy. I hope this will be a fun and jaw dropping ride specially with Bones at the helm of the project. I really hope I won't be disappointed.

Cardfight Vanguard
Cardfight!! Vanguard
Release Date: January 08, 2010
Animation Production: TMS Entertainment
Episodes: ?
Trailer

Summary: Anime based on a trading card game.

Impressions:
Sid - Bah, another card based anime. I’ll pass, never was a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh.
Chidori3souske - Eck.....another anime that endorses toys. I was a fan of Yu-gi-oh before but I got my internet connection and then I realized there are a LOT of anime out there that are worthy of attention. I just don't know what's wrong with out local television networks wasting their airtime featuring these senseless shows.

Freezing
Freezing
Release Date: January 08, 2010
Animation Production: A・C・G・T
Episodes: ?
Trailer

Summary: Set in a slightly futuristic world where Earth has been invaded and is at war with aliens from another dimension called the Nova, the story follows the adventures of a Japanese boy named Kazuya Aoi who enrolls for training at a special school for genetically modified girls called Pandoras who battle the aliens, and their male partners, called Limiters, who use a special power called "freezing" to limit their opponent's mobility. The protagonist makes the acquaintance of an unusual older girl named Bridgette L. Satellizer who appears to be the most powerful Pandora in her class, but has not yet chosen a male partner to be her Limiter, and in spite of the warnings of all his friends, he decides to be her Limiter.

Impressions:
Sid - It is obvious that this anime will be have quite a few service shots… and I don’t care. The trailer looks intense and I’m a sucker for a girl with weapons. A sci-fi with plenty of action and possible romance. I’m begging that they don’t ruin it with TOO much fan service (which I’m sure they will) so I don’t have to drop the ratings for this anime.
Chidori3souske - Definitely going to be a ecchi show based from a trailer. I think I should give it a try since so far I could tolerate Samurai Girls and I'm hoping that the drama and action would balance out the ecchi. If I can't tolerate it then sayonara it's dropped

Beelzebub
Beelzebub
Release Date: January 09, 2010
Animation Production: Pierrot
Episodes: ?

Summary: The story follows the "strongest juvenile delinquent", Oga Tatsumi, a first year in "Ishiyama High" the school for delinquents. One day while sleeping next to a river he sees a man floating down it, he pulls him to shore and the man splits in half revealing a baby boy. This boy is the son of the demon king and he has been chosen as the one to raise it with the baby's demon maid Hilda. The story follows his life with the child and at the delinquent school.

Impressions:
Sid - Another story about a delinquent? Let’s just hope that this one doesn’t have a “misunderstood” delinquent. I’m tired of those anime that slaps on the nice guy personality when you see him behind the scenes. Judging by the description and picture it will hopefully be pretty good.
Chidori3souske - Interesting, but with Pierrot in animation I'm expecting this one to be a long running anime with 100+ episodes. That's why I don't like shonen shows, it's because it has a LOT of episodes (I just don't have the patience to follow shows like this) and it's mostly full of fillers so I'll pass on this one.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?
Release Date: January 10, 2010
Animation Production: Studio DEEN
Episodes: ?
Trailer

Summary: Aikawa Ayumu is a normal high school boy. One day he is killed by a serial killer and revived as a zombie by a necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe. He starts to serve Eu as her guard but he happens to deprive the mahou shoujo Haruna of her magic power. Haruna orders Ayumu to fight against the anti-mahou shoujo system "Megalo" in her place.

Impressions:
Sid – I’ll admit that I read the word “Zombie” and instantly wanted to give this a go. The trailer had some good shots too. Probably wont be good, but I love zombies. Zombie zombie zombie...
Chidori3souske - Another anime by DEEN. The summary doesn't impress me one bit nor the trailer but I think I'll give it a go with 2 episodes 'cause maybe this will turn out a good show but I'm not expecting much.

Level E
Level E
Release Date: January 10, 2010
Animation Production: Pierrot×David production
Episodes: ?
Trailer

Summary: Tsutsui Yukitaka was a freshman who had just entered a high school, and he was hoped to be a good baseball player. When he moved to a new apartment, there was a man in the room. He said he was an alien and lost his memory.

Impressions:
Sid - The trailer seemed promising. It seems like it will have a solid story with a couple twists and hopefully no plot holes. The I’m not too sure about, from the CG I saw it wasn’t too great. We’ll see how this one turns out!
Chidori3souske - What a very unique trailer with the mix of live action and anime. From the creator of Hunter x Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho I'm expecting this show to be really awesome specially with that very interesting premise. This is a guaranteed watch for me.

Dragon Crisis!
Dragon Crisis!
Release Date: January 10, 2010
Animation Production: Studio DEEN
Episodes: ?
Trailer

Summary: A normal high school boy Kisaragi Ryuji's peaceful life is turned into an adventure by the return of his second cousin Eriko. Ryuji and Eriko seize a relic box from a black broker. In the box, they find a red dragon girl Rose. In order to protect Rose from the black organization, Ryuji decides to fight using his power as a relic handler.

Impressions:
Sid - First want to point out the “second cousin” bit. Probably done due to many people never actually meeting second cousins, but also to keep that whole romance thing between them less awkward. The trailer didn’t give me much (probably because I don’t speak Japanese) so I will base my opinion on the description. Seems like an interesting story and it has a decent art to it.
Chidori3souske - Oh goodness, Rie Kugimiya voicing a loli again, somehow I'm getting tired of her voice I hope she'll have a different style in this one. The summary looks decent but I was not impressed with the trailer. A couple of episodes then if it's mediocre then it's dropped.

Fractale

Fractale
Release Date: January 13, 2010
Animation Production: A-1 Pictures
Episodes: ?
Trailer
Summary: The story takes place on an island, where a "Fractale System" is beginning to collapse. One day, Clain finds an injured girl called Phryne under a cliff. She disappears leaving a pendant. Clain sets out for a journey with the girl-shaped avatar Nessa to look for Phryne and discovers the secret of the Fractale System.

Impressions:
Sid - Can’t really tell much by the description so it is hard for me to tell if I will keep this on watch or not. I give every anime at least three episodes (with a couple exceptions) and I will do the same for Fractale.
Chidori3souske - The first thing that caught my attention was the character design and the costumes in the official site which is really gorgeous and it reminds me of a RPG game(If you want to check it out then click here). I also cannot tell much from the summary and I can't find any trailer so the best move is to try a couple of episodes.

Hourou Musuko
Hourou Musuko
Release Date: January 13, 2010
Animation Production: AIC
Episodes: ?
Trailer

Summary: The story depicts a young boy named Shuuichi Nitori who wants to be a girl, and his friend Yoshino Takatsuki, a girl who wants to be a boy. The series deals with issues such as transsexuality, gender identity, and the beginning of puberty.

Impressions:
Sid - Hmm… an anime about transsexuality? I’m sure it will be filled with non-intentional awkward moments, but these kind of anime aren’t bad. I’m rather open to various topics so I want to give this a shot too. I really fancy the art style as well. I may drop this due to loss of interest.
Chidori3souske - From the creator of Aoi Hana comes another intriguing anime. I enjoyed watching Aoi Hana last year so maybe I'll also enjoy this one so I'll try a couple of episodes but if I lost interest then it's a drop.

Infinite Stratos
IS: Infinite Stratos
Release Date: January 2010
Animation Production: 8-Bit
Episodes: ?
Trailer

Summary: Japan engineered an armed powered exoskeleton "Infinite Stratos" (IS) and it became the mainstream of weapons. Since only women can operate IS, women dominate the society over men. Orimura Ichika is a 15 year old boy and accidentally touches an IS placed in the IS pilot training school. He is found to be the only man who can operate IS and forced to enter the training school. Ichika's busy school life surrounded by girls has begun.

Impressions:
Sid - A sci-fi anime is a plus for me. Not sure with the whole “women dominate men”, is it meant to be a political statement or an excuse for fan service? Probably fan service. Either way I’ll check it out because sci-fi is cool, battles are cool, and bad-ass girls are cool.
Chidori3souske - Anything that is considered as a mecha anime is very welcome since I now really crave to watch a good mecha anime. I like the action in the trailer and love the girls with guns hopefully it'll be good.

Yumekui Merry
Release Date: January 7, 2010
Animation Production: J.C. Staff
Episodes: ?
Trailer

Summary: Ten years ago Fujiwara noticed he had a power to see multicolored auras surrounding the person's body. Ever since then he's been having a weird dream about a war with cats. Then one day a mysterious girl falls on top of him...

Impressions:
Sid - This actually looks pretty interesting from the description and trailer. I really like the costume designs, and the art seems fair. The trailer didn’t show much action, but at least gave hints that there will be some. I’m going to watch a few episodes of this and most likely keep it on the list.
Chidori3souske - This looks awesome specially with the hands of J.C. Staff. I'll definitely watch this since the summary is really interesting and I just love the character design. I just noticed I always watch J.C. Staff shows every season well, I really like their work.

Mitsudomoe 2
Mitsudomoe Zouryouchuu
Release Date: January 2010
Animation Production: Bridge
Episodes: 8
Trailer

Summary: 2nd season of Mitsudomoe

Impressions:
Sid - Watched and liked the first season, putting this on the watch list as well. I may do quick posts as well.
Chidori3souske - Didn't really watched the 1st season so it's a pass.

Onii-chann no Koto
Oniichan no Koto nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne!!
Release Date: January 2010
Animation Production: ZEXCS
Episodes: ?

Summary: Junior High student Nao's brother complex is so strong, it's almost at the point of incest. She's determined to make her brother, High School student Shuusuke, see her as a woman. So determined, that she goes as far as going into his room to throw away all his non-incest related porn. But as she's looking for his porno stash, she finds a photo album... and she's not in any of his childhood pictures. What is going on?

Impressions:
Sid - Another one of these huh? So quickly did this one come out. But from the description, I will most likely give this a pass. I’ll watch one episode to see if it is truly that terrible, but incest is too far for me. Then again the whole “Not in his childhood pictures” will probably lead to the loop hole. Either way, I don’t think I’ll want to watch this (junior high too.. eesh).
Chidori3souske - With incest being blatant in the summary I just can't stand incest and it seems it want to imitate Oreimo so it's a pass also for me. With the hands of ZEXCS I'm not expecting much from it anyway.

Suite Precure
Suite Precure♪
Release Date: February 06, 2010
Animation Production: Toei
Episodes: ?

Summary: New Pretty Cure anime in the franchise by Izumi Todo. Based on the title logo, the series theme will be related to music.

Impressions:
Sid - I haven’t watched the other Pretty Cure’s so I will skip this one as well. If I find out I actually don’t NEED to see the other Pretty Cure’s I might give it a go. I’m a big fan of music so a music based anime might be pretty neat.
Chidori3souske - Pass, I don't plan on watching the previous series.

Mai no Mahou to Katei no Hi
Mai no Mahou to Katei no Hi
Release Date: February 2010
Animation Production: P.A. Works
Episodes: ?

Summary: The main character Tatsumi Mai is a girl who uses magic to understand the feelings of people.

Impressions:
Sid - From what little I know of this anime, it seems pretty nice. It is a quick special that I’m sure has a sweet side (probably a slice of life). I’m a sucker for those short clips that puts a smile on your face. I’ll check it when it comes out and review it.
Chidori3souske - This one's a new approach from P.A. Works since their previous works were all action anime that boasts awesome visuals so I'm definitely going to watch this one but I'm expecting that the animation would not be that spectacular since this one's being funded by a local government agency

On a side note:
Sid
I will also be watching the Supernatural animation. I am a huge fan of the English series and want to check it out. I may do quick posts about it as well, good or bad. There are a few other OVA’s that I’ll be watching as well: Future Diary, Koisento, and Morita-san wa Mukuchi.

Chidori3souske - Maybe I'll also try watching the Supernatural animation too, it's also a hit in our country but I didn't have time to watch it now I have a reason since it's in anime. As for the OVAs I'll be watching out for Roberta's Blood Trail and the Ah! My Goddess OAD

until then...
